Who can enter the race
Minimum age is 16 years old. Night race and terrain not suitable for minors, wheelchairs or pets
How far is the race?
The race is 5 kilometres which is just over 3 miles
Do I get a refund if I can't run?
Sorry no refunds as committed costs have to be paid for.
Can you send me an entry form?
Race Entry in online only via this web site
Are there entries on the night?
NO race entries on the nights
What is the maximum number allowed in the race?
500 runners
Where can I get changed?
Best come ready to run or change in your car. There is limited changing, showering and toilet facilities at the race HQ
Will I be able to get a cup of tea?
Yes there will be hot drinks available including pumpkin soup
Will I get something to remember my race?
Apart from the fright of your life you will also get a momento if you complete the race, results available within 24 hours
Will I know my race number before the night
Yes a e-mail confirming entry acceptance and race no will be sent following application to enter the race
Do I need to buy a head torch or sketeton T-shirt?
Not if you already own a head torch (check your batteries, we dont have spares) or are running in your own fancy dress.
PLEASE DO ENTER INTO THE SPIRIT OF THINGS AND WEAR FANCY DRESS!
Will I be able to see where I am running?
Answer Yes, Each runner MUST have a head torch to illuminate the course. In addition glowsticks and signs will mark the race route and marshals with torches will be located at every turn
Question Will my race pack be posted to me?
No, all race packs are to be collected before 6:30pm on the night from race HQ
Where can I park my car?
On entering Thames Valley Park off the 329M follow the parking signs to the Oracle campus where you can park and make the short 3 minute walk to the race HQ
Can I go for a swim in the river to cool off after the race?
DEFINITELY NOT. THE RIVER IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT
What should I do if I feel unwell on the night?
Do not take part in the race. There are plenty of alternative races to enter when you feel more up to it. If you feel unwell during the race please let the nearest marshal know and they will call for medical assistance. If you feel unwell and decide not to take part in the race please DO NOT pass your entry on to someone else as this could cause unnecessary
worry in the event of a subsequent accident.
Will I be scared during the race?
Probably!!!
